Digg Acquired by Betaworks
Digg has just been acquired by Betaworks, a company probably most well known for the URL shortening service Bitly. This is very exciting news. Honestly, it's the best thing that could possibly have happened to Digg, especially that none of the current Digg staff (from CEO down to lowest employee) will be moving to Betaworks in the transition. While that might seem like a bad thing, and sure it is for the people to lose their jobs, but for Digg new blood with that startup menatality that drove Digg to success early on is just what the doctor ordered. I can't wait to see what comes of this.
